Wedding Inspiration: Vintage Typewriter Wedding Ideas

Vintage is charming, so why not have an old typewriter at your wedding?

Typewriters add a charming vintage touch to your wedding decor. They are perfect for a vintage, literary or even a library themed wedding. It reminds me of my time during my high school typing away my school papers - those little keys that go ticking away with the bell that rings when you get to the end of the line. I would love to own one now, but I don't think I'd put it to good use and it's not like I would swap it for my PC.

Typewriters have been making appearances in weddings recently, with many being used as an guestbooks but there are also many other ways you can incorporate the typewriters into your wedding. Anyways, I couldn’t help sharing some cute typewriter wedding ideas with you.

First off, of course, there’s the usual. The typewriter set up on the guest book table. Guests can write their congratulations or share their words of wisdom for the couple in an old fashioned style. It's a great way to use the typewriter as a decor piece and to involve your guests. I'm sure they'll have a lot of fun using it.

If you’re using old typewriters as a motif, using typewriter font in your stationery is a great way to go. Send out escort cards, invitations and thank you cards in typewriter font. You can use them in place cards and table numbers (and even on the wedding cake) if you really want to keep to the theme.

You can even incorporate typewriter keys into your bridal accessories. For the groom, as cufflinks or part of a boutonniere, and for the bride – how sweet is this bouquet?
