Wedding Inspiration: Baby’s Breath!

Photo via Belle The Magazine

Lovely, delicate and cloudlike. Baby's breath has long been known as a filler flower for flowers like roses and carnation, but it's been used as the starring flower lately. Inexpensive and long-lasting, baby's breath is perfect for DIY projects and wedding decor. They create that lush, ethereal look like grounded clouds. Line them along the aisle or hang them from the ceiling. Place them wherever you see fit because you can’t go wrong with this beautiful simplicity.

Here are some of our favorite ways to use baby’s breath in your Louisville wedding — from chandeliers to boutonnieres to a headpiece—it just may give you some ideas on how to work with this very endearing and everlasting flower.

I love the idea of bridesmaid bouquets completly made out of baby's breath.

Don't forget to incorporate baby's breath into the wedding details like the boutonniere.

Baby’s Breath garlands with little hanging paper birds are a great idea to hang above an entrance way or as part of your wedding ceremony canopy or arch.

Whiskey barrel & baby’s breath to go in front of the arch or in front of the hay bales that are around the arch?

Just remember, even though Baby's Breath is thought of as a more affordable option for event flowers, with any type flower that is "massed" together, it can get expensive because you'll need to purchase more to create the full look.
