I LOVE wine barrels. It's fun seeing unexpected items being used as gorgeous wedding decor. Wine barrels are a fun choice to compliment any outdoor wedding, especially if you're going for a rustic chic flair. They are an obvious trend for a vineyard wedding, but, wine barrels are now becoming a big part of any outdoor wedding, from a barn weddings to an outdoor wedding by the lake.
Wine barrels work beautifully as tables, whether it's decoration to show off gorgeous flowers, candles or escort cards, or as a cake table, dessert buffet or beverage table. You can also use them ask seating or tables in the lounge or cocktail area.

Use them to decorate a space that needs a little bit of sprucing up. Tall, flowing flowers and plants look great on top of a wine barrel. Use fabrics such as burlap and lace as a table cloth to add even more charm.

You might also want to consider using wine barrels as part of your aisle decorations. You can place them behind the alter, and then top them with plush romantic flowers to soften the feel.

I’m also in LOVE with the idea of using one for your guest book.

Wine barrels are economical, cheap, and reusable even after the wedding. You can reuse them in your garden as flower pots or cut them in half and use them as side tables as part of your outdoor patio furniture. You’ll be reminded of the people who shared your BIG day with you.
