Wedding Inspiration: Anemone Flowers

Anemone flowers are a latest trend for weddings. They are delicate, beautiful and come in all sorts of different colors. With its bold, black center the anemone somehow give weddings a modern vibe while its frilly petals are soft enough for those going for a romantic feel. The black and white ones are usually an ideal choice for a timelessly elegant wedding, however the blue, pink purple and red varieties can also add a gorgeous pop of color to an overall minimalist wedding especially when added to your wedding bouquets and centerpieces.

Vintage Paper Flowers at your Wedding

A great thing about paper flowers, is that not only are they unique, they'll last longer than real flowers and you can incorporate them into your wedding for free, using newspaper, vintage books, paper bags, and scrap paper. You can also add buttons or pieces of old jewelry to accent them. You can even mix them in with your fresh flowers to add a splash of texture, especially if you are having a more casual, fun, or vintage themed wedding. That's why I'm just loving the trend of using paper flowers!

Rustic Wedding Invitations

Love Story Wedding Invitations

Rustic wedding invitations are all about earthly colors and natural images. They can look absolutely beautiful and so unique. These invitations are most of the times designed with all sorts of rustic details that represent the life that one leads in the country side. For me, going “rustic” can also mean about using materials and elements that are really authentic and organic to the venue and to you as a couple.

Wedding Websites

Wedding Window

Wedding websites are becoming popular and trendy among wedding couples today. The main motive of the website for most engaged couples is to have a place where all their family members and guests can get the opportunity to get to know the couple and their families before the wedding. This is particularly a great idea for distant relatives and out-of-town guests. This also allows guests to see more details about the wedding, travel information, room accommodations and wedding weekend events.

Proper Church Attire

You might think that I am being old fashioned when I say this, but I feel this is important for you to know what is correct and helpful.

As the guest, you should honor the bride and groom's wishes and ALWAYS dress appropriately for the ceremony. Remember to dress tastefully and modestly when attending a church wedding ceremony. It’s done out of respect for the bride, groom, their families, their church and their religion.

Importance of the RSVP

RSVP is a French acronym for répondez s’il vous plait (rā-pōⁿ-dā-sēl-vü-ple). Translated in English it means, “please respond or reply if you please”. The acronym RSVP was traditionally used on invitations for formal events such as weddings.

This is a serious pet peeve of a lot of brides and I do understand them. Here’s what needs to happen upon receiving an invitation to any event that calls for an RSVP, especially a wedding. Refer below to some guidelines and you’ll get it right every time.

Wedding monograms are graphic representations or a symbol of two people coming together and becoming one. As such, make sure that you place significant importance to your wedding monogram.  Make sure that it is timeless and lovely, and that it reflects who you are as individuals and who you are as one. More than being an important symbol, it serves a lot of practical purposes.

I love seeing botanical wedding centerpieces! This time of year, nearly every grocer, garden center and farmers’ market boasts a wide variety of fresh herbs for sale. This summer, take advantage of local agriculture by incorporating herbs such as thyme, rosemary and lavender into a centerpiece. They have a casual, yet homey feel to them. Photo by Julie Roberts via Pretty Little Weddings
The Rustic Wedding (a.k.a. Country Chic) has recently become very popular trend. It's a great theme for a fall wedding, however more and more couples have opted for a rustic theme even if their wedding is in spring, winter or summer. It could be the tight economy or that we're leaning towards a “green” wedding. Whatever the reason, a rustic wedding is an elegant affair that encompasses the beauty of the event while providing a casual feel.
