Texture, Texture and More Texture
Yes, for 2012 expect lashings and lashings of luxurious texture - tulle, lace, ruffles, layers, feathers and 3D flowers. Such combinations can create such a striking and romantic look and the most beautiful movement as they float and bounce as you move.

Color wedding gowns have been becoming a more and more popular choice amongst brides for quite a while now. It is no longer thought strange to choose a gown in a color other than white. Nowadays, more and more brides opt for muted colors in blush, apricot, lavender, or darker antique creams or splashes of color on a traditional white wedding dress.
Inspired by the beauty of nature and blossoming spring gardens, bursts of embroidered flowers are adorning many brides this season. It's a perfect choice if you’re having a spring or summer wedding or as part of an outdoor, garden wedding. One of my absolute favorite flower trends is how the latest designers are creating flowers made of organza and fluttering them gracefully down the skirts of their gowns.
The bridal fashion shows have been flooded with a mixture of short, kicky peplums; and longer, more exaggerated 2-tier skirts. This style creates a chic and dramatic silhouette. The top tier can be cleverly used to camouflage wider hips, and to add striking shape and interest to a floor length gown.
These cute little numbers aren’t just for courthouse weddings anymore. Tea-length gowns are perfect for your summer Louisville wedding.
Belts and Sashes
An ornamental belt or sash are a very versatile way to enhance a wedding day look. Modern designers are making them with beads, ruffles, jewels, pearls, sequins, colorful silk, satin or lace, embroidered flowers and many other accessories. Some brides opt to go without the sash for the ceremony and put it on for the reception. The best part about a belt is that it is a very feminine and flattering way to bring in a bride right at the natural waist.
An illusion neckline is a sheer layer of fabric that covers a section of the skin that would otherwise be exposed if you wore a strapless dress. The sheer fabric is delicate, and often embellished with beads, jewels, embroidery or detailed lace. both frothy and romantic; and modern and fashion-forward – the perfect combination for impressing your guests!
Vintage Style Wedding Dresses
When it comes down to it, this isn’t just a trend for 2012. Vintage will always be in style, especially in the wedding world. Long, full gowns, ornamental skirts with lots of detailing in the corsets, and a center back of lacing, inspired from the late 1800′s creates a vintage inspired wedding gown but with a modern twist.
