Bridal Braid Hairstyle

Braids are back and we're seeing them in aisles across the country. Whether it is for the bride or bridesmaids, braids are now a popular wedding hairstyle trend. Don’t they make such a super pretty look for your wedding day? A braided hairstyle has endless possibilities, and can go from sleek and sophisticated, to fun and funky, to laid back. Regular braid, fishtail braid, french braid, waterfall braid, soft glamorous braided up-dos...they all look great! I believe braids always add a romantic look to any wedding hair style.

Floral Bridesmaid Dress

Photo by Juliet Elizabeth Photography via Oncewed

A trend in bridesmaid dresses is floral prints, which is both unique and probably the most re-wearable of them all. They give off a soft and romantic vibe that would fit so well to the theme of any wedding whether it be vintage, art deco, or rustic. Also, another feature brides love is that a floral print can separate the maid of honor from the rest of the bridesmaids.

{5+02 Thursday Tips) Reception Seating Edition*

Photo by Jesse Vuona via Style Me Pretty

If you’re having 50 guests to a buffet, you may or may not want to give people specific seating assignments. But if you’re having 100 guests or more and serving a seated meal, you’ll want to make sure everyone’s got a specific place to sit. Why? For one, people like to know where they’re sitting — and that you took the time to choose where and who they should sit with. It’s also helpful if you’re serving several different entree choices, because the caterer and wait staff can figure out beforehand how many chickens, filets, or veggie dishes a given table gets because they (you) know who’s sitting there. Read on for tips on how to seat neatly.

{Daily Wedding Bits} Vintage, Classic and Antique Wedding Cars

I love classic cars. I would drive one every day if it wasn’t the little amount of money I have in my bank account.

Anyways, for your wedding you may well be considering the transport that you wish to arrive in. For those of you with separate ceremony and reception venues, you also may be thinking about how to get between your two chosen locations in style.

{5+02 Thursday Tips} Reception Music Edition*

No doubt about it: Music can make or break a wedding celebration. It’s the heart and soul of a reception and can send your guests home with happy feet — or pained grimaces! The fact that you want to hire a talented band or fleet-fingered DJ is a given. Finding one is a matter of polling friends, surfing online, shopping around with fine-tuned ears, and making a move quickly — top talent can get booked up to a year in advance. What type of entertainment suits your personal taste, budget, space allowances, guest demographics, and killer dance moves best? Keep an open mind, and consider these issues to start your search.

{DIY Wedding Project} Antique Door Knob Table Numbers

These DIY Wedding Project is by far one of the prettiest table number ideas I’ve seen. Door knob table numbers are great for a vintage themed wedding. The original post and pic are from Wedding Chicks {one of my fave blogs}. The project was the brainchild of The Vintage Alley and was photographed by Katrina Louise.
Although they look tricky, they are actually very simple. Don’t you think they’ll look even better with antique door keys as escort cards?
