To all Louisville KY and Southern IN
Engaged Couples, if you are looking for a less common wedding venue - where
guests hadn't already been to for an event, then your answer is Four Courts at Cherokee Park.
And you're in luck - there will be a
bridal showcase and book signing on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Four Courts at
Cherokee Park. Winfrey Blackburn will be on hand to sign copies of the recently
published "Country Houses of Louisville, 1899-1939" which features
Four Courts.
The event will have a GREAT GATSBY
THEME,
and anyone who dresses accordingly will be entered in a drawing for a FREE VENUE RENTAL.
Yes! You read that
right. A lucky 'Gatsby-dressed' couple gets a chance celebrate their
wedding at Four Courts at Cherokee Park for FREE!
Just an FYI: Construction on Four Courts
began in 1922, the same year in which the Great Gatsby takes place (the summer
of 1922) and one of the main characters, Daisy Buchanan, was from Louisville
and lived near Cherokee Park. I hope you have heard that there is a remake of
the movie by Baz Luhrmann starring Carey Mulligan and Leonardo di Caprio which
will be released in December 2012.
The bridal showcase will be from 1PM to
4PM.
