{Daily Wedding Bits} Do We Need a Wedding Planner?

Photo via Pearled Kiss Look

A wedding planner can reduce all the stress related to planing your wedding day by help you find your vendors, arranging appointments, visiting potential venues, manage all the logistics on the big day, take care of your wedding to-dos and sometimes act as your best friend when your mom, fiance and friends stop replying to your emails.

Some experts suggest that you hire a wedding planner early but you can book someone at any time. You can  start planning your wedding on your own and then in a few months hire someone to help the last few weeks and on the day of. Just take into consideration that great planners book up fast and not everyone offers day-of services.

When choosing your wedding planner, talk to friends who have worked with a wedding planner about their experience. Make schedules appointments with a few local planners to learn more about their services, prices, how they can help you, make sure to check references and view portfolios and try to learn as much as you can about their background/experience. And of course, read their contract carefully so you understand what they will and won’t do.

Photo by Lisa Devlin Photography via Style Me Pretty
Why not opt out for a traditional guestbook and go with postcards. Have guests compose their sweet wishes on the postcards and have them send their wedding wishes. You can place postcard stamps and address them prior to the wedding. It would be nice to read your first 'mail' as newlyweds the next day or when you return from your honeymoon to a brimming mailbox.

It is very helpful to have a list of questions in hand to ask the facility director about the Louisville wedding venue.

Here are a few important questions that you might overlooked or  forget to ask:
