{Daily Wedding Bits} White Bridesmaid Dresses

Ever since Pippa Middleton was spotted at the royal wedding wearing a white crepe bridesmaid dress, nude, cream-colored and white bridesmaids dresses have gone big and been trending in weddings everywhere. If you’re comfortable with your bridesmaids wearing the same color as you, you’ll see that you have several different options for your bridesmaids' white dresses.

Whenever I think white wedding dresses, I think of bridesmaids dresses with an almost a Grecian feel, where it almost looks like the bridesmaids are attending to royalty. Whilst nude, or blush colored dresses are also popular. These colors can be more flattering to some skin tones as well. I think this look can be incredibly ethereal.

One way to make white bridesmaid dresses work well for your wedding would be having the bride in a full length gown while her bridesmaids wear cocktail or tea length dresses. To me, this differentiates the bride from the bridesmaids more clearly.
I absolutely love anything done with vintage like these stunning vintage light colored bridesmaids dresses above.

If you are opting to have bridesmaid wear long dresses, their bouquets are another great way to set them apart from the bride. Seasonal flowers would be a nice touch, such as yellow tulips for spring, pink peonies for summer, orange mums for fall, or red roses for winter.

Another great idea is to have the bridesmaids all wearing white and the bride’s dress be in another color. This way you still very much know who the bride is, but it takes a modern spin on it.
So what do you ladies think: Would you choose to have your bridesmaids match you in white, or would you opt for nude or blush colored dresses instead? This is a look that can be done with matching dresses, vintage ones, mix and match styles or lengths. You could even have an alternative colored gown yourself so that your gown pops against your neutral colored bridesmaids’ dresses. Just remember that wedding preparation is like any adventure you take, you have to be creative and resourceful to make things work together.
