The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is an American classic – and has absolutely sparked my interest and love for the glitz and glamour of the roaring 20s. It was a time of rapid change, artistic innovation, high-society parties and a booming popular culture. Nothing shouts romance more than hearkening back to the classics.

I hope you’re aware that a remake of The Great Gatsby is being filmed at the moment in Australia with Carey Mulligan and Leonardo di Caprio. It will be coming to theaters later this year. If you notice, already the 20s style is invading the catwalks, red carpets and soon – aisles! I thought I’d be appropriate to feature what is set to be a hot 2012 wedding trend. Here is some bridal inspiration for your Great Gatsby wedding. I’m sure you’ll love to see all the elegant details and the glamorous decor.

Also, drop by the shop to see our collection of Great Gatsby Inspired Wedding Favors and Gifts.

FYI: If you’ve read the book, the venue of Tom and Daisy Buchanan’s wedding in The Great Gatsby is set in the Grand Ballroom of Louisville’s historic Seelbach Hilton Hotel.

"He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her. At his lips' touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete."
