Congratulations to all the Louisville newlyweds out there! I have decided to start the Louisville Wedding Blog - Newlywed Edition so that your visits and help from this local blog wouldn't just end at the I Dos. Well, since I’m not married yet, my advice is not 100% authentic, so this blog column would mostly feature my research finds and insights for newlyweds. Hope this helps...

To start off, allow me to share a review of the book, “His
Needs, Her Needs”, by author Willard F. Harley, Jr. The book summarizes
the primary five spousal needs of men and women in order of importance. The
list for women is as follows:
Women:
- Affection
- Conversation
- Honesty and openness
- Financial support
- Family commitment
While
there are some exceptions, most of us can agree that these are the things we
fancy the most from a man. Now let us look at men’s needs:
Men:
- Sexual fulfillment
- Recreational companionship
- An attractive spouse
- Domestic support
- Admiration
Whoa!
Those lists could not be more different!
At first,
this may seem frustrating, but instead of wishing your spouse-to-be was more
like you, learn to embrace what he wants. You want a man who understands what
you want from him and does his best to fulfill those wishes. Likewise, your
fiancé would be thrilled if you did the same for him.
Have a great day everyone !
