{Daily Wedding Bits} Trendspotting-Color Blocking Weddings

I’ve been reading a lot lately on upcoming wedding style trends for 2012. (Last year, I came to fall in love with the Ombre Trend.  It seemed like all these monochromatic details were just the thing needed to create a romantic and elegant look.) Nowadays, on this year of 2012, we might be seeing a lot more of color blocking.

WHAT is Color Blocking? It is a combination of colors that support and compliment one other (BizChick Blog). This style technique may be intimidating for some but with a few good tips and dash of bravery you will be color bold in no time! It’s a playful trend that doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. It became popular right before the close of 2011.

For ideal and modern color blocking pairings, here's a few color suggestions from The Budget Fashionista for you to play with:
  • Cobalt Blue, Yellow, Orange
  • Chocolate Brown, Pink, Peach
  • Purple, Bright Blue, Teal
  • Deep blue, bright pink, White
  • Coral, Grey, Ivory
