{Daily Wedding Bits} Cool Benefits of a Winter Wedding

Wedding statistics reveal that winter seasons are usually low seasons for a wedding bookings. Despite the ‘artic’ days Louisville, I still think the beauty and charm of winter would make a great wedding – horse drawn sleigh rides, winter hats and fur stoles, mistletoe hanging and lots of snuggling and there are smart brides that consider the advantages of a winter wedding. Here’s a short list of ‘cool’ benefits of a winter wedding.

There is Less Competition: There are fewer brides booking vendors, so you'll be more likely to snag that wedding venue or wedding vendor that you’ve been dreaming of even if you're planning less than a year out.

Lower Prices: Some vendors will discount their prices or are willing to negotiate prices during the off-season to encourage couples to book during the winter. You get to spend less, and get more!

Beautiful and Creative Photos: For great photos, just step outdoors – snow falling to the ground blanketing the landscape, tree branch frosts, a big white snowman or with an old-fashioned sled. Also, there is something extra warm about love blooming in the cold winter.

Unique and Memorable Experience for YOU and your Guests: A majority of couples get married during the wedding season. It is very hard to find something that stands out above what others have already done. If you have been to more than two or three spring weddings than you know what I am talking about. However, with winter weddings, there is always something different.

So, what do you think of winter weddings? Have you attended a winter wedding, or do you plan to have one yourself? I’d love to hear your thoughts and memories! Email us at louisvilleweddingblog{at}gmail{dot}com
