How many of these MUST-explored places have you gone so far? New York Times recently published their annual list of 45 exciting destinations. Panama has a cosmopolitan capital city, incredible rainforest and some of the finest snorkeling, birding and deep-sea fishing in the world, so it's hard to figure out why travelers tend to steer clear of this country or just whiz through. It may have something to do with the fact that Panama is known internationally for its canal. (Photo taken at Kuna Yala, Panama)

Lhasa, the ancient Forbidden City is really famous for its breathtaking views and deeply written culture. A place of natural wonder and historic treasures. The snow capped mountains and traditional Tibetan neighborhoods make this place a memorable one for all the honeymoon travelers.

Tokyo - Synonymous with technology, futuristic skyscrapers, neon lights and exotic culture. Japan has so much to offer to any newlywed couple and time spent in cities sightseeing, shopping and dining can be combined with precious moments of escape and relaxation either in the beautiful and dramatic mountain countrysides or on the sweeping beach coasts of the Pacific or Japan Sea or even the tropical islands of Okinawa.

Florence is one of the art cities of Italy and is one of the most popular destinations for honeymooners for its wealth of history, art and culture. The city is action packed all through the year with its various public events and entertainment options. Florence is the capital of the region of Tuscany.

One of the most popular honeymoons today is the combination of the African safari with a beach holiday, and Tanzania is certainly the best place on earth to experience this memorable honeymoon combination. The country is steeped in history and you can "step back in time". There are mountains, lakes and beautiful beaches. The climate is idyllic and the people are friendly and welcoming. London, a dream holiday destination, is one of the most vibrant and romantic places for newlyweds. There's plenty to see and do like visiting historical sights such as Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, Big Ben and the Tower of London. Take a ride on the London Eye Ferris wheel and enjoy the magnificent views London has to offer or take a stroll down one of London's many markets to find memorabilia and great bargains while stopping for some typical English cuisine of fish & chips.

If you are looking to escape to the mountains for your honeymoon or simply for a romantic trip in the snow then the resort town of Crans-Montana is for you - picturesque, charming and unspoilt. It occupies a sunny south facing plateau overlooking the Rhône Valley, and boasts magical 360˚ panoramic mountain views taking in the peaks of Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. The resort is actually comprised of the twin villages of Crans-sur-Sierre and Montana, with neighboring Aminona close by. Crans is the real hub for the area, containing most of the nightlife as well as numerous designer outlets, whilst Montana is quieter.
