{Louisville Wedding Venues} Whitehall Mansion and Gardens

Louisville Wedding Venues: Whitehall Mansion
Gather and Celebrate in Style

For a true Southern-style wedding, the Whitehall Mansion is the perfect choice for you. A historic Louisville landmark, it is tucked away in a quiet corner of St. Matthews. The Whitehall Mansion is a beautifully restored, 19th century antebellum house and garden wedding venue in Louisville. This mansion offers grandeur, grace and style, making it a perfect setting for your ceremony and reception. The interior wall coverings, carpets and antiques reminisce that of the early 1900s. Indoor weddings can take place inside the venue and outdoor weddings are held in Whitehall's plush gardens.
Inside the Whitehall Mansion, there is a large parlor area on the first floor that can be used as a receiving area, cocktail hour, cake cutting, or other creative options. The bottom of the staircase/foyer area can also serve as an intimate ceremony option for smaller weddings and as a plan B in case of inclement weather for planned garden ceremonies. The Mansion also has multiple rooms on the second floor that can serve as dressing rooms for the entire wedding party.
The spacious grounds and gardens may also be rented for an elegant garden wedding. The Formal Garden is a romantic setting for a garden wedding and can seat approximately 200 guests for an outdoor wedding ceremony.. The Garden Terrace, adjacent to the Formal Garden, is both a beautiful and convenient surface for receptions, whether open-air or tented, and can even be the setting for a wedding ceremony. It can seat approximately 350 wedding guests for an open-air or tented reception. Convenient outdoor restroom facilities, fully air-conditioned and heated, are available to guests as part of the rental of the grounds and gardens.
