Louisville Wedding Venues: The Olmsted
The Olmsted is a definite popular spot for a wedding reception in Louisville. It’s park-like grounds of the Masonic Homes in the Saint Matthews/Crescent Hill neighborhoods is a multiple Best of Louisville award winning site. The wedding facility offers both indoor and outdoor space, catering (incredible food  from the Mastersons!), and even has a dance floor. This historic building offers magnificent architectural details. The Olmsted is located on an 81 acre site which is the home of the former Masonic Widows and Orphans Home. There are several park like areas within the facility which are great for pre-nuptial and nuptial photos. Trees line the paved driveways and there are two large open grass areas in the center of the complex. The setting provides an abundance of natural space for enjoyment. If you plan to have the your wedding in the Olmstead, you have the permission to use the entire facility. Other than the dining and reception area in the building, there is approximately 5 acres of flat landscaped grounds for an outdoor reception and ceremony for your use.
